About...

Luis Abbou Planisi (b. Manacor, Spain, 1999) published his first film review in a magazine when he was just 15 years old. 

Luis become a Bond fan thanks to a chance meeting with actor Dame Judi Dench in Harrods, London. and at the age of 16, his first book, James Bond: detrás del smoking, about the most famous film franchise ever, was published in Spanish.

In December 2017, when he was 18, his new book was published worldwide in English under the title James Bond: Behind the Tuxedo including more than twenty-five exclusive interviews and in mid 2018 the book was published in hard cover to launch a second edition.

A reader by day and writer by night, the Spaniard has also col- laborated with radio programs and podcasts talking about 007, and films in general. In May 2018, Luis introduced a screening of James Bond's Thunderball followed by a Q&A with Sylvan Mason, Bond girl Martine Beswick, fellow author Robert Sellers and himself in a sold out evening at The Cinema Museum, London.

Currently he is writing for the Spanish website EsenciaCine and the magazines 7Setmanari and Ala Est, among others.

In addition, in 2011, Luis Abbou got the first prize in the category "Mallorca de Dibuix" (Drawing Majorca) in the contest called by the Parliament of the Balearic Islands "Un Parlament per a tots I totes" (A Parliament for all).
